Complete blood count (CBC) or Full blood count (FBC)

Complete blood count is one of the blood test which is very useful in diagnosis of many disease for example diseases related to red blood cells like anemia or diseases related to white blood cell such inflammation occur or diseases related to platelets such that dengue or any other disease. In CBC report we study HB, RBC, WBC and Platelets. first of all we will know about HB. 

Hemoglobin (HB) 

Actually hemoglobin is present in red blood cells which carry oxygen to different parts of body but in CBC report HB ratio gives us information about the whole blood that how much blood is present in your body. 

Normal level of HB

Male: 13 to 18 g/dl 

female: 11 to 16 g/dl 

Red blood cells (RBC) 

It is also known as erythrocytes. Red blood cells is main part of blood which carry oxygen and other elements which are necessary for body growth. when the red blood cells become less from normal level it shows that there is disease which may be anemia or any other disease. 

Normal level 

4 to 6 million per litter 

White blood cells (WBC) 

It is also known as leukocytes. white blood cells play a key role in immunity. these are the police of our body because when foreign particles comes to the body the white blood cells kills the foreign particles. when white blood cells become increased from normal it will shows that there inflammation in the body.

4500 to 11000 per litter 

White blood cells are further classified into different types such granulocytes and agrnulocytes. granulocytes contains further 3 types and agrnulocytes further contains 2 types. 

Granulocytes

Neutrophils: neutrophils are the most abundant white blood cells which are released against virus and bacteria. 

Basophils: they are released against parasites and other foreign particles. 

Eosinophils: they are released against fungal infection and allergic reaction such that produce histamine.

Agrnulocytes 

It contains monocytes and lymphocytes. they also help in immunity such that kills foreign particles through lymph nodes. 

Platelets 

It is also known as thrombocytes. platelets help in blood clotting such that when some one got cut on his hand and bleeding starts the platelets of this person start their function and help to stop bleeding. when platelets of someone become decrease or increase from it will shows that there is abnormality.
